I leave my home at 5:45 am and cannot get onto Highway 40 or Décarie. Arrive at the auditorium 6:22 am. "Is everyone gone?" She says yes...

I hurry up and put on my skates. I get dressed, look at my watch - 6:33. Off I go into the dark with only the instructions you gave me. So I push hard and I start to pass a few skaters. This makes me feel good. I keep asking the people I pass what time they started...

I was exhausted at the final stage. I fell on Berri Street. I tore my pants, and have a huge bruise on my side. I have blisters on both ankles, but I would not change it for the world... I will be back next year...
